Mark and Mildred "Annette", both natives of Memphis, TN, were joined in holy matrimony in July 1979. They are blessed with three joys from heaven, five grand joys, and extended family of Godchildren and God-grands.

Love Alive was birthed in the hearts of these loving individuals during the mid-1980s when they experienced their own relationship challenges with each other and with others. It is during this time of testing and journey to overcoming, that they became cognizant of a vital need to create positive social change through the growth and development of strong, healthy relationships–especially in marriage.

While serving as members of Bibleway House of Prayer under the leadership of Mark’s father, Founder and Pastor, Bishop Loyce F. Clark, this couple was ignited with a flame of passion for being instrumental in salvaging relationships and saving marriages.

With the blessings of their father and Bishop, they are walking in their purpose as led by the Spirit of The Eternal One. Not only do they have the desire to teach what they have acquired through experience and study, but they also want to be an example and a living testimony to everyone assigned and destined to cross their path. They assert, “We want the world to know that relationships, especially marriages, can and do stand the test of time.”

Mildred recalls, “I remember at one point in time we heard about seemly so-o-o-o-o many of our friends and family members separating and getting divorced. I called Mark after one such incident and told him, ‘Don’t even think about it!!!’ (laughing). I mean really, it was overwhelming and heartbreaking. I don’t want us to fall victim to the enemy’s ploy, especially as Christ-followers (sighing). Although I understand some will not make it for different reasons, it still saddens me (...and she shakes her head).
